Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Senior Account Executive to join our passionate team of strategists and storytellers. In this role, you will help develop, oversee and execute communications and media strategies that directly support our clients’ goals. You will interact regularly with our clients and the media, oversee junior staff and support the senior executive team.
Responsibilities Include:
- Serve as a primary contact for clients, providing strategic guidance and fostering positive, productive client-agency relationships
- Develop and maintain media lists
- Drive significant media relations efforts, including developing key messages and narratives, pitching stories to media and growing and maintaining media relationships
- Manage day-to-day account responsibilities, including coordinating projects and meetings
- Write and edit press releases, Q&As, PR strategies, briefing documents and other communications
- Assisting with firm and client events
- Research media and partnership opportunities and conduct competitive analyses
- Analyze simple survey data sets to identify potential story angles
- Direct, develop and motivate junior staff
- Support and assist the senior executive team
- Assist with planning and executing in-person and virtual events
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in public relations, communications or a related field
- Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in public relations (agency or in-house) or in-house communications, with an emphasis on retail, fashion or technology
- Strong network of media relationships
- Excellent writing and presentation skills
- Strong research and analytical skills
- Experience with BusinessWire, Cision, Meltwater and/or Critical Mention
